Being born and raised in Houston, Texas, Afton finds no shortage of inspiration in this big city as it is home to many talented artists and musicians. Afton grew up singing in the church, which developed her love to inspire through her God-given talent. “I’m a fan of many different genres of music” states Afton, “but gospel music is ‘home’ for me. There’s nothing in life that I love to do more than I love to sing. Music brings healing to my soul.” And for this reason, Afton has decided to dedicate her musical gifts to bringing hope and healing to everyone she comes in contact with.
